6 Months or More of Laundry Soap

Homemade Laundry Soap ~ Easy to make from simple ingredients
purchased from the grocery store.

We make soap at our house so we used a bare-bones vegetable bar
that is not super fatted. Or you can use Fels Naptha from the grocery store.

I've made the homemade liquid laundry soap and find that it is a mess to make and use.
This is easy and anyone can do it. It only took about 20 minutes.

Herbal Momma's Homemade Laundry Soap
3 bars of Fels Naptha soap or homemade equivalent
6 cups borax
1 tub - 30 oz. Sun brand Oxyclean
1 box - 55 oz. Washing Soda
6 cups Baking Soda
1 ounce essential oils
Grate soap by hand or in food processor.
Put on a dust mask and mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
Store in plastic containers.
I use a 3 ounce scoop for our front load washer.

This makes enough for a family of 5 to last about 6 months. Or you could share it with friends.
