Herbal Flavored Waters
I recently purchased this glass spigot jar. It holds 3 quarts. We have been using so often that I am keeping it out on the counter. Our family is drinking more water when I prepare these simple Herbal Flavored Waters.
General Directions:
Pick fresh herbs or herb roots. Rinse and shake out excess water. Bruise the herbs by twisting or slice. Place herbs into jar. Add optional sliced fruit or vegetables. Fill jar with water and some ice. Refill jar with water as needed for that day. At the end of the day, drain excess water and place spent herbal mixture into compost or chicken bucket.
Favorite Flavors
- Lemon Balm
- Lemon Balm and Strawberries
- Spearmint and Lemon
- Peppermint and Grapefruit
- Ginger and Lemon
- Ginger, Cucumber and any Berry
As you can see the flavors endless. Enjoy and drink more water.
~Water is the key element of our bodies. We should aim to drink 1 ounce of water for every 2 pounds we weigh. If this is not possible, aim for 1 ounce per every 4 pounds and work up from there.
