Learn to prepare for good winter health by making Elderberry Tonic, Herbal Root Preparations (harvesting, root preparation, drying, decoctions, tinctures, etc.), Digestive Bitters for better digestion of heavier foods and Wholesome Foods to add to your family’s diet.


November 5th ~ Handcrafted Soap Making 
10 am to 3 pm ~ $55
Hands-on learning to make beautiful, non-drying, real soap with vegetable  and animal fats.
We will cover:
- Steps of soap making basics
- Botanical additives and ingredients
- Cold and Hot Process methods demonstrated
- Shaping (balls, bars, etc.)
Everyone will go home with a variety of soaps to use.
Dress in layers, as some of the class may be outside. Bring a camera, if desired. 
Lunch served.

Natural Stress Solutions 
10 am to 1 pm ~ $35
Come and learn natural ways:
· To Release Stress
· Basic Energy Healing
· Make Herbal Nervine preparations to soothe your nerves
· Trouble sleeping?  There are techniques and herbals for this too

 

Wildcrafting                  $25        April 30, 2011           11am to 1 pm     
Come learn to identify local herbs and edibles.  This is an exploratory class outside, please dress for weather.  You will learn about each plants environment and uses.  Bring pen and a camera, optional.
Fresh Green Drink and Nettle Soup will be served at Q&A time at the end of class.

Some of our past classes: 

Essential Oils, Beyond the Basics          $35            Feb. 26th ~ 10am to 1pm
Next step in essential oils will be learning about an additional 8 oils, 2 more blends,  blending basics, relaxation and stress release, and essential oil treatments, similar to Rain Drop and Vita Flex treatments. Learn when to apply these treatments and how to incorporate them with other natural health treatments. This class is independent of Essential Oil Basics class and can be taken if you are a novice or essential oil expert.

Herbs 101                                                     $35          March 19th  ~ 10am to 1 pm   
Learn how to make infusions, decoctions, honey and syrups, vinegars, capsules, immune boosts and how to use at least a dozen healing herbs for common ailments. Class will include tea, tastes, information packed handouts, plus some herbal treats.

Handcrafted Herbal Soaps - November 13th 
10 am to 2 pm (Lunch included) $55

(not shortening).  
We will cover:
- Steps of soap making basics

Women’s Herbal Health   May 22, Saturday - 6pm     $35
Celebrate your womanhood with herbal tea in china cups, healthy treats and learn how herbs and natural remedies can assist your female health and changes; from puberty, PMS, pregnancy, nursing, post partum, perimenopause and onto menopause.  We will discuss general vitality and well-being of women and herbs for specifics women’s issues.

Herb Class 101   June 3, Thursday - 6:30pm      $35

Essential Oil Basics and a Few Blends      $35        Jan. 15th  ~10 am to 1pm
The world of essential oils can be overwhelming, so we will cover 8 to 10 basic essential oils.  This will include aromatherapy, household, personal and medicinal uses.  Plus I will share with you my 3 blend formula recipes for pain, bronchial and my own “Thieves”. We will discuss storage, purchasing and applications.  As usual with our classes you will get to experience using them.


Applied Home Remedies                  $35                     Feb. 5th  ~ 10am to 1pm
This will be a hands-on class and we will cover how to treat ailments and some first aid using herbs, hydrotherapy, and other common ingredients that are easily available at your local stores.  Everyone who signs up will be asked to email in the top 5 ailments they want to learn to treat at home and we will try to cover them.  The list so far is:  headaches, arthritis & muscle pain, stomach aches, bronchial challenges, ear aches, even some home treatments for cuts.  This class will assist you to be more self reliant in taking care of your family’s health care needs.
